THE BREEDERS - New Year (Last Splash)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TAB done by Menno Luitjes, 16-05-1994

This song has many different guitars and background noises,
i only tabbed what is really essential and what i could necognize...

e|--------------------------------------------------------------------|[FIG1]
B|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------9---------------9---------------9---------------9--------|
A|--7-----7-(7)-----7-7---7-(7)-----7-7---7-(7)-----7-7---7-(7)---7--|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------|[FIG2]
B|---------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------6---------------6---------------6---------------6---|
A|--4-----4-(4)-----4-4---4-(4)-----4-4---4-(4)-----4-4---4-(4)--|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------|

PLAYING JUST [fig1], [fig2], [fig1], [fig2] SOUNDS PRETTY CLOSE,
BUT YOU COULD ALSO ADD THIS TO THE END OF [fig2]:

e|---------|
B|---------|
G|---------|
D|---6-----|
A|--4--4/--|
E|---------|

AND YOU CAN HEAR ANOTHER GUITAR USING THE CHORDS...

e|--7-----9--|
B|--5-and-9--|
G|--4-----6--|
D|-----------|
A|-----------|
E|-----------|

...LIKE THIS:

e|--7-----7--|
B|----5------|
G|------4----|
D|-----------|
A|-----------|
E|-----------|

(IN THE CHANGE FROM [fig2] TO [fig1] AND THEREAFTER)

OKAY, JUST FORGET ABOUT THAT LAST THING AND TAKE A LOOK AT THIS:

e|----------------|[FIG3]
B|----------------|
G|----------------|
D|--9-9-9------9--|
A|--9-9-9------9--|
E|--7-7-7-(..)-7--|

e|------------------------------------------------|[FIG4]
B|------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------|
D|--2--3--9----2--3--9-9----2--3--9----2--3--9-9--|
A|--2--3--9----2--3--9-9----2--3--9----2--3--9-9--|
E|--0--1--7----0--1--7-7----0--1--7----0--1--7-7--|

e|---------------------------------------------------|[FIG5]
B|---------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------|
D|--222-333-999---2--3--9-9----2--3--9----2--3--9-9--|
A|--222-333-999---2--3--9-9----2--3--9----2--3--9-9--|
E|--000-111-777---0--1--7-7----0--1--7----0--1--7-7--|
^^^play chord 3 times, very fast!

YES! YOU'VE GOT IT RIGHT... JUST PLAY THEM IN THIS ORDER:

[fig3],
[fig4] - [fig5],
[fig3],
[fig4],
[fig3],
[fig4] - [fig5],
[no guitar] - [fig3].

THE END!!

LYRICS:
------

We have come for LIGHT
WHOLLY, we have come for light
                It's TRUE
             I am the SUN
               I am the new year
               I am the rain

I am the sun
        I'm the new year
           I'm the way home
                         I'm the way home
                           I am the rain
                           I am the new year
                           I am the sun

I am the rain I am the new year I'm the way

               IT'S TRUE

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

/	= slide UP
	= slide DOWN
(..)	= didn't feel like typing the same thing over and over again,
just repeat till you think it's enough.

As you probably noticed, the Breeders' songs are very easy to play.
I'll tab more songs from Last Splash when i find the time for it.
